Basketball Mania: A New AI-First Basketball Simulation Game

Hi! My name is Stu, AKA fourmajor. I have had an idea in my head for a while about a basketball simulation game. The premise of the game is there is a fictional world in which everyone on the entire planet is utterly obsessed with basketball. It is the core activity of the entire planet. Everyone on the planet (age 4 and up) is on a basketball team. There are different divisions based on sex, skill level, and age. There is a thorough system of relegation and promotion.

The game will be developed with as much use of AI as possible. I don’t intend to just use AI coding assistants; I want as many autonomous AI agents as possible doing all parts of the game production process as possible. I’ll take the role of a CEO, directing as many of the AI agents as possible. I’d say half of the purpose of this project is for me to learn how to build with cutting edge AI. The other half of the purpose is to create a kick-ass video game.

I definitely don’t have the time to create a video game that achieves the vision in my head using traditional coding techniques. So, I hope this AI-first approach can really speed things up!

I also don’t have a huge budget. Maybe $100/month to start? So I may not actually be using the most cutting edge tools at all times. But, AI is progressing so fast that I think the budget tools of a year from now will be the cutting edge tools of today. So I’m not too worried about that.
